History
Established in 1991, Josmari is owned and operated by Josh Schiffman and Maria Guerrero Schiffman. A true “mom and pop” business, Josh handles the estimating, scheduling, and job supervision, while Maria runs the office. Josh has worked in the building trades for 35 years, with extensive experience in remodeling, home additions, cabinet making, design, and furniture building. Along with Maria’s background in banking and accounting, both the field work and paper work are well tended to.
Mission
Our goals with an size project, be it a home addition, a kitchen remodel, or the design and fabrication of a bathroom vanity is the same: Deliver a beautiful, well-built, enduring product in a timely manner with little or no waste. We have pride in our ability to transform our client’s needs, desires, and drams into tangible and elegant results. We listen, we plan, and we execute with enthusiasm and efficiency.
Relationships
Along with our experience we rely on the relationships we have fostered with our employees, our subcontractors, our suppliers, and our clients to meet our joint goals. Many of these relationships go back more than a decade. We believe that those long-term relationships are essential to us meeting our goals and to satisfying our client’s needs.
Sustainability
Environmental sustainability is important to us. We regard inefficiency and waste as a bane to our business, to our client’s pocketbook, and to the environment. Is is in our nature to try to find the least wasteful means to achieve the client’s building goals. From demotion to finishes, we do our best to reuse, recycle, and select project-appropriate materials. These efforts are reflected in many of the cabinet and furniture pieces shown herein. Where practical we make use of offcuts, remnants, and scraps of materials we use to build with, transforming them into components of elegant and useful new creations.
